Pharmacy Law and Ethics



Forensic pharmacy: Forensic pharmacy is application of the sciences of drugs to legal issues.
Forensic pharmacy is the legislative branch of pharmacy which deals with regulatory affairs, ordinance, acts and rule related to drugs, pharmaceuticals and profession of pharmacy.

 
Law: Law  literally  means  a  rule  of  action  established  by  authority,  a  statute, ,the  rules  of  a community or state etc. It is a pillar of human society and is necessary for each and every phase of life. Law and men are inseparable.
Law is any written or positive rule or collection of rules prescribed under the authority of the state or nation, as by the people in its constitution.
                                                                                                                           
Ethics: The branch of philosophy that deals with morality. Ethics is concerned with distinguishing between good and evil in the world, between right and wrong human actions, and between virtuous and non-virtuous characteristics of people.

Ordinance: Ordinance is a rule that is established by the local authority. It is an authoritative regulation, decree, law, or practice.
Or, a law or regulation made by a city or town government. An ordinance is a local law.
When the Parliament/Legislative Assembly is not in session, a proposal/bill is promulgated by the President//chief of authority, without the consent of the legislature, then the approved proposal is called ordinance.

Act: An act is a formal transduction of legislative or other deliberative body An Act is a law made by the legislature like Parliament or State Legislative Assembly. Once a Bill/ proposal is passed by the legislature, it is presented to the President /chief of authority, on receiving his assent, it becomes an Act.
